Windows 10 Home Activation Guide
Go to the official Microsoft Windows 10 download page.
Scroll down to the Create Windows 10 Home Installation Media section.
Click on Download now under the Windows 11 Installation Media section. This will download the Media Creation Tool.
Using the Media Creation Tool to create installation media:
- After downloading, run the media creation tool. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
- If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
- On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
- Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit) for Windows 11.
- Select which media you want to use:
- USB flash drive: Attach a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.
- ISO file: Save an ISO file to your PC. This can be used to create a bootable DVD. After the file is downloaded, you can go to location where the file is saved, or select Open DVD burner, and follow the instructions to burn the file to a DVD.
Step 1: Activate Windows 10 Home During Installation (Optional)
If you’re installing Windows 10 Home for the first time, you’ll be prompted to enter your product key during the installation process. Simply enter the key when prompted, and Windows 10 Home will activate automatically once the installation completes.
Step 2: Activate Windows 10 Home After Installation
If you don’t have a license key yet, you can purchase one from ggkeys.com.
If you skipped the activation step during installation or need to enter your product key after the setup, follow these steps:
- Open Settings
Click on the Start button, then select Settings (gear icon). - Navigate to Activation
In the Settings window, go to System > Update & Security.
3. Enter Your Product Key
Under the Activation section, click on Change product key. A prompt will appear asking you to enter your 25-character product key.
4. Type in your product key and click Next. Windows will validate your key and activate your system.
5. Complete Activation
Once the activation process is complete, you should see a message stating that Windows is activated.
