About Hunt: Showdown 1896

You play a bounty hunter in the corrupted backwaters of the American West. Monsters roam the maps, and you take on bounties to hunt them down and try to get out alive. Other hunters are after the same prize, so rival players are often the bigger danger. Die and you lose what you carried. Escape and you keep it.

You can hunt solo, in a duo or in a trio. Steam lists online PvP and online co-op. Before each match you build a loadout from the weapons, gear and abilities on offer. Inventory management is kept light, so you spend your time on the hunt rather than in menus.

The game has four large maps with changing weather and updates each season. Sound matters as much as sight: you hear monsters, barking dogs, reloads and creaking floorboards, and each sound can warn you or give you away. Between matches your hunter levels up.

How to activate
