Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening is an open-world survival game from Funcom, released in 2025 and set in the world of Dune. You can play alone or with friends. The key activates on Steam for PC.

About Dune: Awakening

You are an agent sent to Arrakis by the Bene Gesserit to find out what happened to the missing Fremen. Along the way you visit Arrakeen and Hagga Basin, and you meet characters like Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. The story asks what the world would look like without Paul Atreides, and you can side with the Atreides or the Harkonnen.

Survival comes first on Arrakis. You look for shade to avoid the sun, avoid the roaming sandworms, hide from sandstorms and refine water, including by taking it from your enemies. You build a modest home or a large base, craft gear and vehicles, and travel by ornithopter that you build yourself. The Shigawire hook helps you climb mountains. As you progress you learn from the Schools of the Imperium and gain new abilities, weapons and tools, with Mentat and Bene Gesserit powers among them.

You can explore the world alone, with friends, or on a public server with hundreds of other players. Steam lists single-player, co-op and multiplayer.
