About American Truck Simulator

The base game covers California, Nevada and Arizona. You begin as a driver for hire in the local freight market, work your way up to owner-operator and can go on to build a large transport company with your own fleet, garages and drivers.

The trucks are licensed models from well-known manufacturers, and you can make yours your own by changing the cabin, chassis, paint job, tuning parts or engine. Cargoes range from food to machinery and hazardous loads, hauled on trailers from reefers and flatbeds to dumpers and lowboys. The longest trailers reach 53 feet and test your patience when you park.

For drivers who like realism, the game offers air brake simulation, retarder, Jake brake and trailer brake options, and several transmission types. Police can fine you for speeding, scales can check your cargo for overweight, and the route adviser helps with navigation.
