Changing the Paper Size for Part of a Document
If you need to use a different paper size within the same document, follow these steps:
- Position your cursor where you want the new paper size to begin.
- Go to the Layout tab and click Size.
- Select More Paper Sizes from the dropdown.
- In the Page Setup dialog box, choose the paper size you need.
- Under Apply to, select This Point Forward and click OK.
The new paper size will apply starting from where your cursor is placed, moving to a new page if necessary.
Setting a Default Paper Size for New Documents
To avoid changing the paper size every time you create a new document, you can set a default size:
- Go to the Layout tab and click Size, then select More Paper Sizes.
- In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Paper tab and choose your preferred paper size.
- Click Set As Default at the bottom.
- Confirm the change by clicking Yes.
The new paper size will now be applied to all future documents in Word.
By following these steps, you can quickly change the paper size for your current document or set a new default for future projects.
