Duplicate Product Code:
This error occurs when the key you redeemed has already been activated by another Steam account. If the key was revealed more than two weeks ago and you encounter this error, please be aware that Customer Support typically cannot provide a replacement key. We recommend checking with friends or family to see if they received this game from you or redeemed the key.
Not Available for Purchase in This Country:
This error does not indicate that the product or game is unavailable in your country. Instead, it means that the key you are trying to redeem is region-locked to a different region than that of your Steam account. Keys are issued based on the country setting of your Humble account or your physical location at the time of purchase.
To prevent these issues, please ensure that the country settings for both your Steam and Humble accounts match:
Invalid Product Code:
This error displays for several reasons:
- The key you are attempting to redeem is not a Steam key.
- The key is being redeemed in the wrong location.
- Ensure you are redeeming keys in the Steam client or website: https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey
- The key was copied or typed incorrectly and needs to be double-checked.
- The key has been deactivated or had an expiration date. Please check the download page where you received the key.
Please first activate the original game:
This error occurs when your Steam account doesn’t own the base game, and you’re trying to redeem DLC or content that requires owning that game. Some bundles may include both the base game and DLC, so it’s best to redeem the base game key first. In other cases, bundles might offer DLC or bonuses for games that are free to download on Steam. If the base game isn’t included in the bundle, check Steam for a free download before attempting to redeem the content.
Unavailable in Current Region:
The “Unavailable in Current Region” error on Steam often occurs when you’re traveling or using a VPN to access a region-locked game in an area where it’s not available. If you’re traveling, you may need to wait until you return to your home country or region to access the region-locked content.
If you previously logged into Steam using a VPN connected to a different region, this might cause issues accessing games tied to your account’s country or region settings. You can verify your Steam Country setting here: Steam Country Settings.
To resolve the issue, follow these steps:
- Log out of your Steam account.
- Disable any VPN or proxy services, ensuring your IP address and connection align with your Steam Country.
- Log back into your Steam account.
- Check if the games are now playable.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a non-region-restricted key or game replacement. Regional content restrictions are a necessary part of digital distribution. If the problem persists, please contact Steam support for further assistance: Steam Support.
