About Metro Exodus

The story begins in 2036, a quarter century after nuclear war. Artyom and the Spartan Rangers leave the ruins of the Moscow Metro and head east on the Aurora, a heavily modified steam locomotive, to look for a new home. The story is inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky.

Levels are large and non-linear, and the year-long story moves from spring through summer and autumn to nuclear winter, with day and night cycles and dynamic weather. You scavenge and craft your gear, and you can mix stealth with gunfights against human and mutant enemies. Your decisions decide which companions survive.

On Steam, owners also get the Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition, a visual upgrade that needs a ray-tracing capable graphics card (NVIDIA RTX or AMD RX).

Which edition should I choose?

• Standard Edition: the base game.
• Gold Edition: the base game plus the two story expansions, The Two Colonels and Sam’s Story.
