About Crusader Kings III: Legends of the Dead

The expansion is about what is remembered after you are gone. You can commission a heroic account of your family’s history, or earn a reputation through your own deeds, and then promote that legend across the continent. A legend can strengthen the legitimacy of your rule.

Legendary status opens up new gameplay: decisions and actions that use your fame, elite buildings, and feasts where poets and bards celebrate your generosity. You can also hire a court chronicler to record your dynasty’s accomplishments, or have poets and musicians commemorate what you did.

Two new Legacies are included. The Heroic Legacy is for the heirs of legendary characters, and lets you use the deeds of ancestors to justify claims on distant territories. The Legitimacy Legacy presents your dynasty as the rightful rulers of your lands.

Death gets more attention as well. New diseases such as the Bloody Flux, Measles and Holy Fire can ravage your court, and you can hold funeral rites in line with your faith. The Black Death strikes nobles and commoners alike and changes the political and social situation.

How to activate

1. Install Steam and sign in to your Steam account.
2. Select Games → Activate a Product on Steam in the top menu.
3. Enter the key from your order email. The game is added to your library, ready to download.
