About Cities: Skylines

You build a city from the ground up and run it as its mayor. The basics are easy to learn but hard to master: education, water, electricity, police, fire fighting and healthcare all need attention, and they all compete for a budget in a working economy.

Colossal Order built on its experience with the Cities in Motion series for the traffic simulation, so local traffic behaves in detail. You can mark parts of your city as districts and apply policies to them. The day and night cycle also matters: traffic is slower at night, and some zoned areas work less efficiently.

Cities: Skylines is a single-player game. Steam lists Steam Workshop support and a level editor, so you can add community content or make your own.
