How to Duplicate a Page in Word
Duplicating a page in Word is useful when creating templates or repeating content. While Word doesn’t offer a one-click option for duplication, the process is straightforward. Here’s how to duplicate a page or add a blank page efficiently.
Inserting a Blank Page or Page Break
- Add a Blank Page:
- Go to the Insert tab in the ribbon and click Blank Page.
- A new blank page will be inserted after the current cursor position.
- Insert a Page Break:
- To split an existing page, place your cursor where you want the break.
- In the Insert tab, select Page Break. This moves content below the break to a new page.

- Place your cursor at the beginning of the page and drag down to the bottom to highlight its contents.
- Copy the selected content using Ctrl + C or right-click > Copy.
- Insert a New Page:

- Paste the Content:
- Paste the copied content onto the new page with Ctrl + V or right-click > Paste.
- Select Keep Source Formatting if needed.
Tips for Efficiency
- Use Keyboard Shortcuts:
- Copy: Ctrl + C
- Paste: Ctrl + V
- Select All: Ctrl + A
- Place the Cursor Carefully: Ensure your cursor is positioned where you want the new page to appear to avoid disrupting your document layout.
By following these steps, you can easily duplicate pages or insert new ones in both single-page and multi-page Word documents.
