Darkest Dungeon II CD Key

Darkest Dungeon II is a turn-based roguelike from Red Hook Studios, released in 2023. You guide a small party across a dying land by stagecoach. Choose your platform above: the key activates on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch.

About Darkest Dungeon II

Your only hope is a party of four heroes and a stagecoach, set against a collapsing world. You assemble the party, upgrade the coach and set out on an expedition toward the Mountain. The biggest threat is not always outside the group, because the heroes can also turn on each other.

Combat is turn-based and builds on the system from the first game, with refined stats and rules. A token system makes each choice count. Every hero has an origin story to uncover, along with new skills, paths and items.

Each expedition is a roguelike run that lasts from about 30 minutes to several hours. If a run ends badly, you still keep resources that you can spend on upgrades at the Altar of Hope for the next attempt. The affinity system matters too: heroes bond or clash, which helps the team through fights or puts it under stress.

Steam also lists a second mode, Kingdoms. It is a stand-alone strategic campaign that runs next to the main Confessions mode, with its own progress. There you manage a roster of heroes, gather resources and defend a crumbling land.

• Single-player turn-based roguelike
