The Outer Worlds 2

The Outer Worlds 2 is a first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, published by Xbox Game Studios in October 2025. It is the sequel to Obsidian’s earlier Outer Worlds. Choose your platform and edition above: the key activates on Steam for PC, or on Xbox Series X|S.

About The Outer Worlds 2

You play an Earth Directorate agent sent to investigate rifts that threaten humanity. The trail leads to Arcadia, the colony known as the home of skip drive technology. There, the Protectorate’s rule is under attack from a rebellion by its religious order and an invasion by corporations, and each faction tries to control or close the rifts for its own ends.

Your choices decide how the story plays out. You build a character around your abilities and your approach, whether that is diplomacy, strategy or chaos, and the colony reacts to what you do. You also recruit companions, each with their own traits, backgrounds and goals, and your influence shapes how they develop.

On PC, the game supports ray tracing, HDR, an unlocked frame rate, and upscaling through NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR and Intel XeSS. Steam lists it as a single-player game with full controller support and adjustable difficulty.
