Crimson Desert – Steam

Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game from Pearl Abyss, released on March 19, 2026. The Steam page lists it as Crimson Desert Enhanced. Your key activates on Steam for PC and Mac, or through your Microsoft account for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.

About Crimson Desert

You play Kliff, a Greymane warrior who survives a night ambush by the Black Bears. He sets out to find the other survivors and rebuild the faction. The story moves through the continent of Pywel and up to the Abyss, a mysterious place in the sky where the balance of the world has to be restored. Two more playable characters, Oongka and Damiane, join the story with their own fighting styles.

Pywel offers plains, forests, deserts, mountains, cities and ruins to explore. You ride horses and other mounts, including a dragon and mechs, and glide down from cliffs. Combat covers swords, spears, greatswords, axes, dual wielding and ranged weapons, plus kicks and grapples, with boss duels and large battles. You can also cook, fish, hunt and play minigames, and you can upgrade the Greymane camp.

The Enhanced version adds new cutscenes and story moments, plus more voice-over and language support. It is a single-player game.

Which edition should I choose?

• Standard Edition: the base game.
• Deluxe Edition: the base game plus the Deluxe Pack: the Kairos Plate Set (helm, armor, cloak, gloves, boots), the Balgran Shield and the Exclaire Horse Tack Set (champron, barding, saddle, stirrups).
