Setting & Story

Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place in late 16th-century feudal Japan during the Sengoku period, a time of political upheaval and warlords vying for power. The game follows two protagonists:

• Naoe – A deadly shinobi from the Iga clan, seeking vengeance after her family is betrayed. She specializes in stealth, agility, and assassination techniques.
• Yasuke – A powerful samurai based on the historical African warrior who served under Oda Nobunaga. He brings a brutal combat style with heavy weapons and armor.

The game explores themes of betrayal, honor, and survival as both characters navigate a war-torn Japan while uncovering a larger conspiracy involving the Assassins and Templars.
