Against the Storm CD Key

Against the Storm is a dark fantasy city builder with roguelite elements, developed by Eremite Games and published by Hooded Horse. The full version launched in December 2023, and the key activates on Steam.

About Against the Storm

You are the Viceroy, sent by the Scorched Queen to win back the wilderness for the Smoldering City, the last refuge from the Blightstorm that wrecked the old world. Most survival city builders focus on one town, but here you build a network of settlements across a large world map and move on to the next one once a settlement has done its job.

Five species live and work in your settlements: humans, beavers, lizards, foxes and harpies. Each has its own needs for housing, food, luxuries and recreation, and you decide whose needs come first. Rain, changing weather and recurring Blightstorms keep the pressure on, and the Queen expects steady progress, so your reputation with her matters.

If your settlements fall, the expedition can end, but the game goes on. Each run is a roguelite expedition: you carry resources, upgrades and experience forward and use them to improve the Smoldering City. The game has six biomes and hundreds of gameplay modifiers, so every location plays differently. It is single-player only.
