Adding a border to your slides can give your presentation a polished and modern look. Follow these simple steps to insert a border using the “OKR Framework for Performance” presentation as an example.
Step 1: Select Your Slide
- Choose the slide where you want to add the border.
Step 2: Insert a Shape
- Go to the top menu and click on Insert > Shapes.
- Browse through the shape options and select one that fits your slide. If it doesn’t fit perfectly at first, don’t worry—you can adjust it later.

Step 3: Customize Your Border
- After adding the shape, customize its appearance:
- Click on Shape Format in the top menu.
- Under Shape Outline, adjust the thickness and style of the line.
- Use Shape Effects to add enhancements like glow or shadows.
Step 4: Make the Shape Transparent
- To make the shape a border only (without any fill), select the shape, go to Shape Format > Shape Fill, and choose No Fill. This will make the interior of the shape transparent, showing only the border.
Step 5: Copy the Border to Other Slides (Optional)
- If you want to use the same border on other slides, simply copy the shape and paste it onto those slides.
