Lies of P, the Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike from Neowiz and Round8, is set to receive a PS5 Pro Enhanced label soon. Ahead of this update, Lies of P director Jiwon Choi shared some insights with Eurogamer about what this means for the game.

The director shared that while he can’t reveal all the details just yet, Lies of P will see significantly improved frame rates when its PS5 Pro update goes live. “For example, Quality Mode will see more than a 30% boost in FPS, delivering smoother, more fluid gameplay. Additionally, Performance Mode now supports full native 4K resolution, allowing players to enjoy breathtaking visuals without compromising responsiveness,” he explained. “We believe frame rate is crucial in a premium action RPG. The precision and fluidity needed for this genre are vital to the combat experience. With the PS5 Pro’s exceptional performance, we’re able to maintain an optimal frame rate at 4K, ensuring the gameplay is as smooth and responsive as intended.”
Choi added that the team is “hopeful these improvements will create an even more immersive experience for players, bringing the haunting beauty of Lies of P to life in ways gamers will love.”
